Pen pal successes....we have literally gotten hundreds if not thousands of letters since 1996 telling us about new found friends, love, and even employment.

Story # 1 - Dear PrisonPenPals, I want to Thank You for being on-line. I took a chance and found your web site on-line in Sept. 06. Then I took the chance and wrote to David M. here in California. I am proud to say just this last weekend I became Mrs. David M. We got a kick out of the fact our wedding day was his expiration date for his ad. David turned out to be the best man I have ever had for me and my Children and Mentally Retarded brother. Once again I thank You and keep up the good work . . . Sincerely Helen M

Story # 2 - To all who have found success in loving someone behind the walls. I was touched at how similar all of the stories were. I too had fears of ever having/finding myself madly in-love with someone in prison. But, I DID!!! Yeessss I did. What started out as a "Hello, how are you" letter ended up to "Hi baby, I love you so much". It's still hard to believe.

I too have met my best friend, soul mate, and love for life. I still can't believe it was possible to fall in love so fast, without even meeting in person or touching. From the very first letters we exchanged, I began to see and feel the man, and not the criminal behind those walls. I felt his sadness and loneliness as if he were waiting and searching for that one special lady who would make him smile again.

It's upsetting to hear of the Florida Parole Commission's games and corruption. My man is among the inmates they're using as pawns, all he wants is his freedom after serving 20+ years, and it wasn't for murder, manslaughter, or rape.

I'm happy for all of you who have found your soul mates in life. Best wishes to all....and God Bless.

Story # 3 - Hi my name is Traci and I met the most wonderful man on the face of this planet all because of your web site. I saw his ad and something spoke to me. I took the chance and wrote to him. It seems as if we connected immediately. He is the most caring and warm person I have ever had the joy of talking to. We are planning a long and happy future together. Joe goes up for parole in January 2004. I can't wait until he can come home to me and we can start our forever. Thank you for sending me my angel.

Story # 4 - Hi, I must tell you, PrisonPenPals brought my future husband to me! I found the site looking for a pen pal and what I found was so much more and we'll both be forever grateful! Thank you again, Lisa

Story # 5 - When I first met my husband in 1991 I was still in the denial stage of my 4 year old's death, and trying to take my own. I met my husband at Attica Correctional and married him on Fathers Day 1992. I feel that was the best decision I ever could've made in my entire life. I feel he saved my life thru his mental and emotional support in myself coming to term with the realization no amount of tears would bring back my son. We have grown so much thru the years, 13 in all so far, and we have 5 year old beautiful twins conceived behind prison walls. My husband has a life sentence and will never come home. He tried but was caught after a two day escape. His love for his wife and children drove him to his attempt. Still after all the chaos I'll love no other man like I do my husband Tim, and never have I regretted a second in all those years. With much love Tim!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Lesly

Story # 6 - Hi. My name is Sherry and back on November 02, 2002, my boyfriend was killed in a car wreck and it devastated me terribly. I was alone and didn't want to date or go out etc. I came across PPP site and thought "why not", I really needed someone to talk to and someone who was living through hardship as I was. Of course 2 different stories but loneliness the same. One particular ad caught my eye and I wrote to him. His name is Rick and we wrote for many months and we had a lot in common. I got where I was so excited daily to check the mail and get a letter from him. We began falling for each other and after that it seems all fell into place and he was paroled after so many denials and we met and it was real Love. I've never had anything like this happen to me. To end my story, we ended up getting married on my birthday 9-11 of 2003 and its been Wonderful ever since. We are very much in Love and are happy and thank God each day that we met through PPP. I've truly found my soul mate and couldn't ask for anything more. He's a great man and had some bad luck and now for the 1st time we both are actually Living. Thank you PPP and keep up the good work. God Bless everyone. Sherry

Story # 7 - Through your service I have met the most wonderful person that I have ever met in my life. We just recently got engaged and will be married in June of next year. Thank you for having such a wonderful web site, and for bringing me to find my soul mate. Sincerely, Milissa

Story # 8 - Almost two years ago I began to write to different prisoners in as many different states. I came across one ad that caught my eye. It was not the person but something much deeper. However, I knew that I must write to this particular person to learn the reason of the immediate attachment. It took me approximately four months to get the courage to write to him. We wrote approximately six letters when I received a letter from him informing me that he was writing to too many people to continue our correspondence. At that point he informed me that he had given my name and address to a friend that he thought I would be good for him. The same day I received a letter form this new prisoner. He wrote a very nice letter. We began to write at least twice each week. I was really beginning to care for this man. I decided to visit him. I was placed on his visitors list and shortly there after I went to visit him. I knew that he was on 5'4" and I had always been with very tall men. That was the happiest four hours that I had spent in many years. After two years he is definitely my soul mate. We are praying for parole in May. We are certainly in love. He encourages me to speak freely about any subject and I really love this because I am a free soul. Our birthdays are 7 days apart. I really love my little Cecil. He is a short man, but his love and spirit is a match to any tall person. I love you, Cecil.

Story # 9 - My name is Gina and I have written to prisoners on your sight for a year now. I have made some great friends and I have met a very wonderful man. He's in prison in Florida. We have only been writing for 4 months now and we are already in love with each other. We both believe that fate brought us together and we both agree that we are meant to be together.

As I close this letter I would like to say thank you on behalf of myself and Rick. You all have a wonderful web site. Thanks

Story # 10 - I would like to share our "Success Story" with you. I was reading a book that mentioned PrisonPenPals.com so I decided to visit the site to see if it was "for real". I think I must have looked through every single ad. Out of the hundreds, a couple of ads caught my eye, but there was one, in particular, that really seemed to speak to me and the man in the ad was incarcerated in the same city where I lived. I printed his ‘ad’ and carried it around in my purse for a month, not sure whether to write. I had never attempted anything like this before and I guess I bought into a lot of the stereotypes about incarcerated people. I finally got up the nerve to write him a very brief note, told him nothing about myself and waited to see what would happen. He wrote back very quickly and his letter conveyed a friendliness and yet a loneliness, too. Thus we began our correspondence tentatively. I wasn't sure what he expected from me and vice versa. We discovered that we had many things in common, goals-dreams-etc. Gradually our feelings grew deeper for each other with each letter and eventually he asked me for my phone number so he could call me. The first time he called me, I think I can say I fell "head over heels in love" with his voice. He is from the south and I was just crazy about his accent. We talked almost daily on the phone, always in fifteen minute increments. I was clueless about his "notoriety" until I did some research and almost bailed on him when I read the court file and newspaper articles about his crimes. I had no idea his case was so high-profile, it's a good thing he didn't tell me right off the bat because I wouldn't have gotten to know him, his heart, soul and mind. Loving an incarcerated man is not easy, prisons seemed designed to discourage making new connections. But this relationship is teaching me patience; he is worth it. It's amazing how our paths crossed, the twists and turns in our lives that brought us to a city that is completely alien to both of us and far from both our families. The things we have in common are eerie; truly he is my soul mate. We feel sure that our meeting was destiny, fate, whatever you want to call it. There's no other way to explain it! We are making plans for the future, he gets released in November 2004. I look forward to a long and happy future with my Mr. Right. Even though that was the last thing I thought would ever happen by writing to an inmate. A big "Thank You" to your website.
